Formerly called Facebook, Meta, has unveiled its new 130,000 sq. ft office in CyberHub, Gurugram, which is set to be its first standalone facility in Asia. This new office is also one of Meta’s largest office spaces.

The DLF-2 workplace is spread over six floors, and Facebook’s old office at Two Horizon Center in DLF-5 has been shut down.

The facility was inaugurated by Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology, and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and a digital skilling hub in it will be dedicated to training and skilling the small business owners, entrepreneurs, creators, and local communities to enable digital transformation.

This office will act as the Centre for Fuelling India’s New Economy (C-FINE). The company has set a goal of training 2,50,000 creators and one crore small businesses and entrepreneurs in the next three years.

 

Detailing more about C-FINE, the company stated that there will be a dedicated area to demonstrate how AR and VR can transform sectors like education, commerce and healthcare. The company also informed that C-FINE is the latest addition to their ‘India-first products and initiatives, which include Reels, Payments on WhatsApp, and Live-Rooms.

“We see this office as an opportunity for us to build a space that will house our largest team in the country. The office will be open to anyone who is driving change – be it creators, small business owners, entrepreneurs, artists or community leaders. The spaces here will see directed, purposeful efforts from Meta to fuel their pursuits, ideas and ambition. That is why we are embracing the ambitious goal of training 1 crore small businesses and 2,50,000 creators,” Ajit Mohan, Vice-President & Managing Director, Facebook India (Meta), said in a statement.

Meta’s new facility in Gurugram features artwork by Rohini Devasher, Pratap Morey and Sameer Kulavoor that reflects India’s cultural and ideological diversity while shifting from traditional towards a new identity, according to the company.
