Tata Consumer Products Ltd., recently established by the incorporation of Tata Global Beverages and Tata Chemicals, strives to be an all in one FMCG company, its Chairman N Chandrasekaran announced on Monday.

The alliance, which took impact from February, will provide a broader presentation to growth and possibilities in the FMCG range. “TCPL will strive to emerge into a wholly FMCG firm and pioneer for new possibilities in the international markets,” Chandrasekaran assured shareholders at the company’s virtual annual general meeting.

He said the coronavirus pandemic affected business in the previous quarter of 2019-20 and the first quarter of the current fiscal.
And that the company is anticipating a slow recovery from the supply chain.

“We presume the pandemic to remain in the near time; however, the company is certain about the current fiscal and beyond,” Chandrasekaran further added.

The company will strengthen distribution and marketing channels so that its products are accessible nationwide, he said. It will also prop presence in the U.S., U.K. and Canada.
