Situated in south west part of New Delhi one of most populated sub cities it has sprawling buildings with the whole city divided in sectors which are then sub-divided into pockets. It is a very well connected area with buses arriving from all over Delhi, Metro connectivity(Airport line too), Flyovers and well constructed roads .. it is easily accessible to everyone.
It has a huge amount of residential societies spread all over.

You might have been wondering if it’s that huge place what all are the things to hangout there and what are recreational places. Sadly there is not a single mall in Dwarka as of now with 2-3 under construction and Taj -vivanta project underway things certainly look bright.
But we have right now the pinnacle mall which houses only 4 shops and evergreen restaurant as of now while sharing the building with Lebua hotel.

BUT there are a lot of places to visit one of the most popular are the Sector-6,10 market and the sector -5,4,11,12 cluster market long with Ramphal Chowk. If you are in mood for some quick “Chaat” or you want books and Sweets for some occasion or you have to go look for some cheap quick tops and some dresses or shirts then Sector 6 ,10 is the place for you to be as it even has some restaurant like Pind Balluchi etc.
And of you are looking for a place to relax and eat in places where are not looking for light food then the sector -5,4,11,12 cluster will appeal to you the most with Pizza hut , McDonalds , dominoes , slice of italy among a large number of places to eat you sure will have a great time, but its not all it has stores of all branded Apparels and is a right place if you are in for some serious shopping.
With Ramphal Chowk not a expansive place like these markets and being a cluttered place it has nearly everything -Brand showrooms, Electronic showrooms, restaurants, Gyms it still is a preferred place for a lot of people.

And if you are not interested in going to markets and are looking for a place for sports then that is also not a issue Sector -10 has a Sports Complex maintained by the DDA where either you can take a monthly membership or pay per visit.
There are also a large number and I mean a large number of schools running in Dwarka and a lot more school’s having there buses plying in these area so education is also not a problem if you are weighing your options on whether you can shift here with your kids as there a lot of parks and options for kids to run amok and since it is one the largest in Asia you can expect that there are a lot of people from all over India living here and hence Mini-delhi /Mini-India are some of the tags given to the Dwarka sub-city also the reason why that nearly every type of festival is celebrated with such fervor.
The city has expanded rapidly over a past few years …there was time when a large part of the Dwarka was covered in trees and prices were not so high
but rapid demand, connectivity and escalating prices have converted Dwarka in to a place which looks devoid of trees but that too is changing as trees plantation drives has been taken up by some groups, schools which can account for some increase but still the city looks barren.
To travel within Dwarka is also pretty easy and even pleasant if you know how to bargain with the rishkshaw puller as there are sometimes price fixed which are higher that usual and with some bargaining and a bit of rejecting someone will eventually meet your demands but don’t get too cocky and ask for a fare price that no one would agree too.

So basically the mode of transport’s are Rikshaw, Gramin seva(a mini van) that carries a lot of people and runs on fixed route same with Mini-buses or some of you may call them RTV’s which also have a fixed price and run on fixed routes.

So basically Dwarka is a decent place for you to Hangout if you know it well enough but definitely one the better place for you to live.
