Xiaomi, the Chinese electronics company announced on Tuesday that it’s cutting the prices on some of its Televisions as the new GST rates are now in effect.
Mi TV 4A and Mi TV 4c prices have been slashed by ₹1500 and ₹2000 respectively as a result of the recent reduction in GST rates. The new GST rates have been downsized from 28 percent to 18 percent on TVs up to 32 inches.
According to the statement, the Mi TV 4A which was previously sold at ₹13,999 will now be available at ₹12,499. While the Mi TV 4c which has been priced at ₹16,999 will now be available at ₹14,999. The new rates have been implemented across all the sales platform.
Xiaomi said the decision was propelled by the government’s positive implementation of the new GST rates. The price drop has been possible because of the recent decision by GST council of India according to which the GST rates on TVs and Monitors up to 32 inches have been dropped from 28 percent to 18 percent.
