The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) might cancel the ICSE and ISC exams. The board exam for classes 10 and 12 were scheduled to be held in July. The decision for cancellation for exams was considered after the CBSE cancelled its exams.
Earlier the CISCE had given two options for the students. They can either choose to write the exam or opt out which then would be decided on the internals. The board is yet to give its marking scheme to the court.
This plea was put forth by the parent cum advocate and was heard by a division bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice S S Shinde through a video conference.
Previously the Maharashtra government informed the Bombay high court that it cannot allow the ICSE to conduct the remaining exams due to the coronavirus outbreak. The government also took a similar decision for the university exams.
