The Master’s program in Sanskrit has been launched in the Indian Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) through open and distance mode. This program was designed with different disciples of Sanskrit. It is also mentioned that a student with any degree can take up the Master’s in Sanskrit through ODL mode.

The launch took place virtually due to covid-19 pandemic. It was broadcasted live on the Facebook page. The Vice-Chancellor Nageshar Rao said this program needs the collective works to make it a grand success.

Students can view the details and register for the programme through the university’s official portal: ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

The university has also launched a podcast series to help the students listening to the lecture. The podcast is named as “diverse learner base”.

The coordinators for the podcast include Prof Neeti Agrawal and Prof Nayantara Padhi of School of Management Studies. This was designed and developed by Prof Uma Knajilal, Director, Centre for Online Education (COE).

Several other initiatives were also taken by the university to aid the students with their education.
