Bajaj Engineering Skills Training (BEST): What it is?

The company recognizes the significant gap between theoretical education and practical hands-on experience. To bridge this gap, they have introduced Bajaj Engineering Skills Training (BEST), a program designed to provide industry-relevant skills to thousands of young individuals. For that, they have partnered with some renowned universities such as Banasthali Vidyapeeth in Tonk, Rajasthan, and Symbiosis International University in Pune, Maharashtra, in the initial phase of this program. However, to reach out at every corner, the brand aims to expand this initiative to several other top universities and engineering colleges across the country. Through BEST, Bajaj Auto is committed to equipping young people with the skills needed to succeed in the industry and contribute to India’s workforce.

The training centres established in these universities are equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and top-notch equipment, ensuring a high-quality learning experience. Initially funded by Bajaj Auto, the brand has plans to make these centres financially independent in the future. These training centres are open to all engineering graduates, whether they hold a degree or diploma.

The courses offered through the program are structured around four critical modules: Mechatronics, Motion Control and Sensor Technology, Robotics and Automation, and Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing. These modules provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the job market and become job-ready.

Bajaj Auto is committed to supporting learners from economically weaker sections or disadvantaged areas, with the objective of enhancing their employment opportunities. The BEST program encompasses all the essential skills required to meet the demands of current technological trends.

While addressing the media, Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto Ltd said, “Every year, more than 12 million people enter the workforce. But with rapid changes in technology, there is a huge gap between academia and industry in making the youth job ready. With a legacy of giving back to the society, we are now proud to announce our flagship CSR project that commits to bridging this gap.

Also, offering his valuable insights on this, Pradeep Shrivastava, Executive Director of Bajaj Auto Ltd added, “BEST (Bajaj Engineering Skills Training) has already partnered with some of India’s top institutes to train engineering graduates with cutting-edge skills. The labs and the programme design have been crafted by a group of senior leaders and engineers of Bajaj Auto, which emphasises our commitment to this programme. We look forward to collaborating with the industry and academia to make this initiative reach out to the deserving youth of India.”
