The third cut-off list of the University of Delhi (DU) is scheduled to be released today for the undergraduate programmes’ first year admissions for the academic year 2017-18. To check check whether they have cleared the cut-off the candidates who have applied for admissions at DU can log onto the official site tonight.

As previously reported, SGBT Khalsa — which has released the highest cut offs this year— has so far only admitted about 50 students, where all other popular colleges barely have any vacancy left.

Where there were only 752 seats, Hindu College has had to admit over 870 admissions, confirming the doors shut for further admission. Admissions to SRCC are closed as well, much like LSR, which has closed admissions to most courses, the remaining being psychology, English, journalism and political science for the general category.

Popular courses kept the cut-off soaring even in the second list at no less than 95% so as to avoid over-admission. The list came out on June 30. About 42,000 seats are still vacant out of 56,000.

This is what is going to be note-worthy in the third cut-off:

  • The highest cut-off for BCom (Hons) and BA (Hons) Economics had been maintained by SRCC at 97.25%
  • LSR kept the entrance at 97.25% for BCom (Hons), 97% for BA (Hons) Economics and BA (Hons) English
  • Ramjas college kept it secure at 96.75% cut off for BA (H) Economics, 96.50% for BCom(H) and 95.75% for BA (H) English
  • KMC called the third cut-off at 96.50% for BCom (Hons), while all its seats were filled for BCom and BA (Hons) Political Science
  • Ram Lal Anand College’s third cut off was at 91.50 per cent for BA (Hons) English and 85 per cent for its BA programme course.
  • For Computer Science (Hons), the cut-offs had still been soaring in the third cut-off. IP college, Hansraj and PG DAV college held the mark at 94.75%, 95.75% and 95% respectively
  • English (Hons) still had seats in 37 colleges by the release of the third cut-off.
  • Science seats in colleges like Gargi and Miranda House had already been filled in the second cut-off.
