The State Common Entrance Test Cell of Maharashtra is likely to announce the exam dates for MHT-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) 2021 very soon as the latest updates.

MHT CET is an annual entrance exam held by maharashtra government for admissions in undergraduate professional programmes offered by engineering, pharmacy, agriculture and nursing colleges.

The Common Entrance Test Cell will release the dates and all other information on its official website http://mahacet.org regarding the MHT CET 2021 exam.

The registration process for this exam is currently active, which began on June 8. The students can enroll themselves for the exam till July 7 by submitting the application form along with required documents.

However, the application forms for MHT CET 2021 are available till July 15 but with an additional late fees of Rs. 500. Interested candidates can register themselves online via the official website of test cell.

The Common Entrance Test will be conducted for Maths and Biology groups separately. The CET exam will be a computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted at centres across maharashtra as well as outside of the state.

The test cell will normalise the raw scores of candidates for preparation of final results. However, the cell has not released a detailed formula for this normalisation and percentile calculation process.

In order to avoid large gathering of candidates at one place, the exam this year will be conducted in multiple shifts on different time slots in a day. The time duration for each slot will remain same.

The Exam is also divided into two major phases where first phase will be for PCB (Physics-chemistry-Biology) Candidates and phase two will be for PCM (Physics-chemistry-Maths) candidates.

Rules as per the Marking Scheme of MHT CET 2021;

  • There will be no negative marking.
  • 20 percent marks weightage will be from syllabus of Class 11.
  • 80 percent marks weightage will be from syllabus of Class 12.
  • The exam paper will have 3 sections (for 3 subjects) of 100 marks each.
