“The significance of the Film Critic in Cinema cannot be overstated. It is a mis-conception that anyone can review a film. It’s an exciting profession, helping viewers choose between films and creating new viewership. The co-existence of a critical (Film Critic) and a creative mind (Filmmaker) makes for a symbolic, responsible society and living culture, which is sorely missed in the current culture of paid/sponsored reviews,” stated in the course description.
Faculty
The course will be carry forwarded by Rajula Shah. She is an FTII alumnus, a Visual Artist, Poet and Bhopal-based Filmmaker. She studied film direction at FTII from 1997-2000.
