Class 9 will have the opportunity to study 15 new vocational courses in Himachal Pradesh. The fresh courses will be available starting in the 9th and 11th standards in the academic session 2020-2021. These courses give basics in the 9th standard and move to advanced options in the 11th standard.
The vocational courses are being introduced to prepare the students to shine in other areas such as IT sectors, healthcare, beauty and wellness, fashion design, tourism, data entry operator, machine technician, paddy farmer, etc.
The syllabus is prepared by Pandit Sundar Lal Sharma under the supervision of the Central Institute of Research Education, Bhopal. He framed the syllabus in such a way that the 11th and 12th standards will be taught with advanced concepts and that they will be trained in the same field. They help them expertise in their field and the students will be able to join as assistants directly in their field such as florists, junior software developers, etc.
The state has many pending board exams to be conducted. However the court has given permission to conduct the geography exam. Also given that the summer vacation has been extended till May 31, the next academic year is said to experience all-new courses.
