IILM University based in Gurugram alongwith two other campuses in Lodhi Road and Greater Noida, which offers management courses, organised a convocation ceremony in Lodhi Road campus for its 2019 batch.
The chief guest of the ceremony was the former Vice-Chancellor of Delhi University Dr. Dinesh Singh. He is a holder of many prestigious awards- Padma Sri, AMU prize of Indian Mathematical Society, Career Award of the University Grants Commission and the Ramaswamy Aiyar Award Lecture.
Dr. Singh inspired the students with his encouraging speech on how to look positively towards life and goals. He mentioned plenty of beneficial statements;
“Wisdom is like a comb that life gives you when you have lost all your hair.”
“It is good to earn medals but it is important not to take them too seriously. You need to seek medals that your heart awards to your soul. These are medals of Courage, Honesty, Hard Work & Discipline and Humility that you need to keep inside.”
373 students received the there PG Diploma degrees by Mrs. Malvika Rai, Chairperson,IILM Institute for Higher Education and by the 3 Directors of campus; Dr. Smitha Girija, Dr. Sujata Shahi and Dr. Taruna Gautam.
Students were also awarded Dr. Kulwant Rai Gold, Silver and Bronze medals to outperform as meritorious students as well as to overall performers.
Also the faculty members were felicitated with Best Teacher’s awards for Core and Elective modules were given to 6 faculty members, 2 from each campus.
Dr. Smita Girija, one of the Director members stated “Congratulations to the students on their achievement and wishes for the future. Be Brave. Be Amazing. Be Worthy. Don’t confuse success with excellence. Educate all your parts. You will be healthier.”
