Mr. Bhagat Singh Koshyari, the honourable governor of maharashtra recently said that “every student must take an oath and contribute towards the building of our nation.” The governor said this lines while addressing the students at annual convocation ceremony for 2021 held by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University on 25th June.

The university celebrated its 61st convocation ceremony virtually. About 81,876 students were granted with their degrees at this prestigious event. The governor attended this ceremony as the guest of honour along with Technical Education Minister Uday Samant, AICTE’s chairman Dr. Anil Sahastrabuddhe and the vice-chancellor Dr. Pramod Yeole.

Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari in his virtual address to the ceremony shared his views, opinions and experiences with the students and faculties present at that time. In the speech, he mentioned that students must not limit themselves to bookish knowledge as it is never enough. Rather then one must examine their own thoughts about what they are learning.

He added that it doesn’t matter what field a student chooses or what career a student builds up, he must have dedication towards the country. He must have a feeling of sacrifice. And irrespective of what the country has given us or what the government has done for us, the student must only wonder about what and how they are going to help the nation.

In relation to this, the Governor further said that each and every student must take an oath to selflessly contribute their part towards building the nation. No matter how small or large the efforts are, they will any how pay in the development of country. The Technical Education Minister Uday Samant appreciated the university’s initiative of establishing two COVID-19 testing labs in Marathawada and marked this moves to be revolutionary.
