The Lok Sabha Speaker from Rajasthan, Om Birla has announce that the students who are Aspiring for entrance in medical or engineering courses and had lost their parents or family due to COVID-19 pandemic will be provided free accommodation, food and coaching in Kota for their preparation period.

The Lok Sabha is speaker called a meeting with all the directors of coaching institutes in Kota and requested them to come forward for supporting in thisĀ  act of wellbeing and helping the students who lack good facilities but still wants to study.

Several states in the country like Madhya Pradesh and Delhi NCR has also been offering essential resources and financial aid to such children and people who are adversely affected by the pandemic and had lost their family earners.

Kota, a city of Rajasthan is called as the National hub for preparation of competitive entrance exams like NEET and IIT-JEE. Every year more than 2 lakh students reaches Kota to take admission in coaching institutes for preparation of this exams. Studying in Kota requires a decent financial support and hence many underprivileged students lacks the opportunity.

On the request of Mr Birla, several coaching institutes agreed for providing free classes to the underprivileged and orphaned students. The institute has also said that they will arrange the accommodations and food for the students from their end as well.

During the meeting, the director of a very renowned Institute from Kota announced that their Institute will set up a relief fund of 50 lakh rupees for the families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the end, Mr Birla thanked all the career institutes for their noble gesture and helping the state to fight against the challenges due to the ongoing pandemic. He also requested the residents of the city to come forward together and help as much as possible from there end.
