As coronavirus outbreak seems to be coming to an end with the number of high recovery rates, it clears the way for schools and colleges to get re-opened in Unlock four, which shall start from September 01. Moreover, according to the reports for limited services the metro and local trains will also start functioning . As India is facing the highest number of cases per day, parents are not in favour of sending their children to schools .
Regarding the reopening of the school, NEET and JEE exams have also given a signal to schools.
From the month of September, the teachers and staffs members have been asked to join the duty ahead of Unlock four. Here’s a look at the number of states that are planning to reopen schools.
1. Telangana:
Although the government of the state has decided to continue with the online classes, on August 27, around 30, 000 government schools reopened with more than one lakh teachers and staff members joining their duties.
2. Odisha
Until the end of Durga Puja, schools shall remain closed in Odisha. From October 22 to 26, the five-day Durga Puja festival will be held .
3. Tripura
Tripura has already started conducting classes in schools for all the students, moreover all of the states are waiting for the orders of Central Government’s. On August 21, a total of 1.25 lakh students have attended schools with proper guidelines.
4. West Bengal
After September 20, the schools will reopen, says state government .
5. Karnataka:
There has been no news around the corners related to the school, however, from October 1, the colleges in Karnataka will start their regular classes for students.
6. Sikkim:
From September 1, the teachers will have report to the schools.
7. Andhra Pradesh:
From September 01, like most of the other states schools, the classes will also resume for students in Andhra Pradesh.
8. Assam:
In the last week of August, after conducting a Covid-19 test Assam has got its teachers ready. From September 01, the classes in the state will begin.
