Sushmita Sen is all set for a great comeback with the Disney plus Hotstar web series titled Aarya, the trailer of which was released yesterday. The actress will be seen on screens after a long gap of five years.
The trailer follows the story of Aarya (Sushmita Sen), a next door housewife who transforms as a saviour of the family when problems barge in. The conflict arises due to her husband’s business which hints at dealing illegally.
The show seems to be filled with power packed action sequences, gripping tale with several twists and with finest cast, it looks quite promising. The series is said to be a remake of Dutch thriller show titled Penoza.
Coming to the story, it is set in the world of crime, operated fully by men. A story of betrayal, story of a mother who is ready to fight with everyone in order to protect her family.
People say, “A wounded tiger is more harmful”. The same is the story of Aarya as we say in the trailer. Her husband gets shot by one of his rivals and Aarya sets out on a mission as a wounded tigress. The trailer also gives us a glimpse of Aarya’s hidden past which would add more thrill to the story.
Directed by Ram Madhvani, the series seems to be a great comeback for Sushmita Sen. Apart from Sen, the show will also feature Chandrachur Singh, Namit Das, Sikander Kher and Vinod Rawat.
