Actor, Akshay Kumar is a man with a big heart and known for his generosity. Earlier this year, he had donated Rs 25 crore to the PM relief care fund for COVID-19, Rs 2 crore to the Mumbai Police Foundation and Rs 3 crore to the BMC, to assist them in creating masks, kits, and personal protective equipment for fighting the coronavirus.

Now, the actor has again donated a large amount. As Assam is reeling under the effects of the ongoing floods, the actor has donated Rs 1 Crore. He paid the amount to the Assam Chief Minister’s relief fund, which will help the people affected in the state.

The chief minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal thanked the actor for his kind gesture on Twitter. The minister posted the following tweet to thank him :

Currently, Akshay is in the UK where he is shooting his next film ‘Bell Bottom’. He has Laxxmi Bomb lined up for release on Disney + Hotstar. His cop drama ‘Sooryavanshi’ with Rohit Shetty is scheduled to release next year on Diwali.

The actor has a slew of films coming up next, which includes Anand L Rai’s Atrangi re and Rakshabandhan.

Being a big person takes a big heart and Akshay has time and again proved it with his efforts for the country. Whenever the country has faced an issue, Akshay has been one of the foremost actors to come forward and help the nation. He is truly a Khiladi off screen too.
