After being married for over 20 years, Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jesia finally decided to formally part ways. In a statement which was released on the 28th of May, Arjun and Mehr released a statement to the public announcing that for all intents and purposes, they had decided to break their official union, however, their mutual love for each other and for their children would always remain strong.
Shifting over their focus to the care of their children, the couple stated that even though walking on the same path together for over two decades had been beautiful, their journeys had diverged now – and there was no point for them to continue it together anymore. Arjun and Mehr also highlighted the fact that this decision of theirs was a personal choice based on the happiness of both the partners, and the only reason they felt the need to release the official statement was because it doesn’t take long for truth to become distorted in this world anymore – causing unnecessary drama the couple could really do without at the moment.
Mehr and Arjun finally confirmed that their family ties with their children would not be affected due to this divorce. In the statement, the couple clearly announces that they would like to focus for the time being on loving both 16-year-old Mahikaa, and 13-year-old Myra. They also requested further privacy from the Press and the public and hoped for their support and acceptance in the days to come.
