ATTACK Review: Plot, Cast, Music, Storyline
Actor John Abraham returns to the big screen in a new character as a super soldier in his unique style. The action entertainer, Attack, also features Rakul Preet Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles.
STORYLINE OF ATTACK
The story revolves around a soldier Arjun Shergill, played by John Abraham, who suffers a terrible loss due to a terrorist attack which resulted in paralysis neck-down and he becomes wheelchair-bound. However, Dr Saba, essayed by Rakul Preet Singh, who is working on futuristic scientific technology makes him stand to his feet as she thinks Arjun is the perfect fit to undergo trial for India’s first-ever super-soldier program.
While Arjun undergoes the trial, the Parliament goes under siege where he is expected to save the city from the bomb explosion. In the second half, we can clearly witness the wheelchair-bound Arjun’s transformation into a super-soldier as he manifests his soldier’s duty to serve the nation with new-age modern technologies.
STAR CAST OF ATTACK
John Abraham, portraying the character of a super-soldier made efforts to improve his acting chops. He truly fits into the character with his flexing muscles and beefed up chest. Apart from these, the action sequels by John are quite new and enthralling which we usually don’t witness in mainstream Bollywood films.
Jacqueline Fernandez again has a cameo and gets killed soon. She gets the dreamy lady love shot until wrapped in a white sheets before she dies.
Rakul Preet Singh did justice to the role she portrayed. The actress aced the new-era scientist working towards her experiment to make his subject able to get back to his feet. Prakash Raj’s character seems comical when he is expected to look serious. Rajit Kapoor played his part perfectly carrying his legacy forward.
OUR TAKE ON ‘ATTACK’
For those who have always complained about the scripts of Bollywood films, here is a novel idea and a great story offered by the industry. However, the story is a bit unrealistic when the makers tried to portray it as a sci-fi action thriller.
Debutant director Lakshya Raj Anand did quite well with his first film Attack. John Abraham too gave something better than his previous 6 comical flops. Overall, the film is a one-time watch. John Abraham fans can surely go for it.
