Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming movie ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, which is directed by Krish and produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain & Co-Produced by Nishant Pitti of EaseMyTrip.com. In the movie actress, Kangana will be seen portraying the role of Jhansi Rani Laxmibai.
According to the latest reports, method actor Atul Kulkarni has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the movie titled “Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi.”. Atul has done a variety of challenging roles in the past. Now, he will be essaying the role of Ramchandra Pandurang Tope also known as Tatya Tope, the Rani’s aide, who was instrumental in recapturing the city of Gwalior from the British.
Recently in a sword fighting scene, Kangana was hit by her fellow actor Nihar Pandya’s sword on the forehead which left her bleeding profusely. Kangana was immediately rushed to Apollo hospital nearby, where she was admitted into the ICCU. She got 15 stitches on her forehead and will be under observation in the hospital for a few days. The examining doctor said that it was a close shave for her because the cut was too close to her bone.
The epic film will release on April 27, 2018.
