It has been rightly said that the movies are a reflection of the society and they hold a mirror to us. All the movies influence in some of the other way. Although very few, but there are some good films in Bollywood related to business.

Today, we will be going to show the list of ten Bollywood movie which is based on the business.

The list of the top seven movies which are based on the business are as follows:

1. Badmaash Company: This 2010 Parmeet Sethi-directed film features Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Meiyang Chang, and Vir Das in the lead. It revolves around four young friends freshly graduated from college and starting their business by using an unorthodox method and they have to proceed to make large fortunes by smuggling expensive foreign goods. The film has a moral message of ‘crime never pays’. Despite mixed reviews, the film was a commercial hit.

2. Band Baaja Baaraat: Directed by debutant Maneesh Sharma, the film follows the story of a girl and a boy who team up to start a wedding planning business and their struggle. Starring Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh, the film has a message that the entrepreneurs should know about their personal and professional life. The movie also talks about the passion which is more important rather than the qualification and moreover it teaches us to be a team player. The film was a sleeper-hit and was later remade in regional languages.

3. Rocket SinghSalesman of the Year: This 2009 Shimit Amin-directed film has Ranbir Kapoor playing a salesman who is shunned and by his superiors and from his colleagues and with time he finds that the honesty is not the best policy always. He bootstraps his own parallel sales company by using his company resources and with four of his other employees. The film met with critical acclaim and is one of the best on management.

4. Guru: This 2007 film is based on the life of  late Dhirubhai Ambani, the founder of Reliance industries. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film features Abhishek Bachchan in the title role along with Aishwarya Rai, R. Madhavan, Vidya Balan and Mithun Chakraborty. It tells the rags to riches story of Guru Kant Desai, who becomes a millionaire making money by all means. Upon release, the film’s direction and Bachchan’s performance received praises from the critics. It also went on to perform well financially.

5. Swades: The story of the movie Swades is about an NRI and he comes to India to meet his nanny hoping to take her back with him to America. He searches for his nanny and that leads him to a remote village in India and that village is deprived of the electricity and even in the 21st century, the people of that village are fighting with the demons of untouchability and gender bias. He realizes his duties towards his country and he helps the villagers with the electricity while fighting with the demons that are prevailing in the Indian society from the centuries. The movie has been written, produced and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. The movie features Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role.

6. Corporate: Directed by Mani Ratnam, this 2006 business drama film is based on the 2003 case when an NGO had claimed that pesticides were present in Coke and Pepsi drinks. It showed the dark side of the business world where powerful men do anything to remain on the top. Starring Bipasha Basu, Kay Kay Menon, Minissha Lamba and Rajat Kapoor, the film met with favorable reviews and strong box-office response.

7.Baazaar: The most recent film in the list, this 2018 crime drama is set in the backdrop of the stock market and talks about money, power and business. Directed by Gauravv K. Chawla, it stars Saif Ali Khan, Chitrangada Singh, Radhika Apte and Rohan Vinod Mehra. It received mostly mixed reviews from critics.
