Parineeti Chopra is not a part of the upcoming film Bhuj: The Pride Of India anymore. She walked out of Ajay Devgn starrer project due to date issues as the actress has two other projects lined up.

The actress has been in limelight for her upcoming film which is a biopic of Indian badminton star Saina Nehwal. The Ishaqzaade actress even decided to stay at the Ramsheth Thakur International Sports Complex in Navi Mumbai for 15 days to cut down on travel time.

After Saina Nehwal biopic, she also has The Girl on the Train in the pipeline, a remake of the 2016 Hollywood thriller by the same name.

However, Parineeti was very keen to work in the film and regrets the situation.  A trade source said of the development, “It is really unfortunate. There is a massive date issue and she will unfortunately not be able to match the Bhuj shoot dates. She was really excited to do the project but given her commitments on Saina and Girl on the Train overlapping massively, she is not being able to carve out dates for Bhuj.”

Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, Bhuj: The Pride of India  is based on Indo-Pak war of 1971, where Indian Air Force (IAF) squadron leader Vijay Karnik and his team with the help of local three hundred women reconstructed the IAF airbase. Ajay Devgn is playing squadron leader Vijay Karnik, the then incharge of Bhuj airport, in the film.

Besides Ajay, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Rana Daggubati, Pranitha Subhash, and Ammy Virk.

Being made on a staggering budget of Rs 100 crore, the war drama is  being produced by Ajay Devgn, Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ginny Khanuja, Vajir Singh, Abhishek Dudhaiya and Kumar Mangat Pathak under the film production banners of T-Series, Ajay Devgn Films and Select Media Holdings LLP. It is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on August 14, 2020.
