‘Taare Zameen Par’ fame actor Darsheel Safary says that it wasn’t a conscious decision to stay away from films. Darsheel was last seen on the television in the 2012 movie title ‘Midnight’s Children’. Now, he is all set to come back on the big screen with the movie titled ‘Quickie‘, which is helmed by the filmmaker Pradip Atluri. The movie is said to be a teenage love story.
He took a break from the movies because he wanted to study in a college. While he was in college he did some short films and he even wrote some scripts and some of his scripts are still pending and he himself doesn’t know when he will gonna complete them. Moreover, he did a commercial theater with a title ‘Can I Help You? a while ago and along with this, he has even participated in college festivals.
Darsheel says that acting and dancing are on top of his list and that has come naturally to him. He has been doing it since he was 9 years old. He has even directed the movie and now he is watching as many movies as he can just to understand the aspect of the filmmaking. But he will think about filmmaking only after he’ll make a place in the film industry.
According to the reports, actress Shweta Tiwari’s daughter Palak Tiwari is likely to make her acting debut with a film titled ‘Quickie‘ opposite Darsheel Safary. About the movie, Darsheel says that the movie is taking shape beautifully. However, the releasing date of the movie has not been decided yet. While reading the film initially he thought that it was written by some 17-18 year old, but later when he found that it was written by a 40-year-old man, he got surprised that the writer has written teenager’s life so accurate in the movie.
About her co-star Palak, Darsheel says, “It’s (acting) in her (Palak’s) genes. She can easily pick up lines, her memorisation power is great… I was just happy about the fact that she can pull it off so well.”
Recently, Darsheel has become the face of the ‘The Harry Potter Film series’, which will air on &pictures from Sunday. The main motive of the series is to spread the awareness about the franchise as must as they can because a large amount of population in Indian does not watch English films. So, the makers of the series have decided to create the Hindi dubbed version that would help to reach the larger audience.
About his upcoming series, Darsheel says that there is nothing better than playing Harry Potter and he just loves the way series has been directed. He quoted, “I wasn’t a fan of the books. I became a fan after watching the movies. It formed my childhood. From 2001 to 2011, I used to wait for these events… what happens in Harry Potter’s life.”
