February is a month of love, mushy poems, flowers and everything beautiful. While many people claim that they don’t really need a specific day to celebrate love, there are a few, who believe in making this month a special one for everyone they love. One actor who has pleasantly surprised us this time is Aamir Khan.
The Bollywood star opened up to his fans about his “pehla nasha” — his first love — on Valentine’s Day.
The actor revealed, “I fell in love for the first time when I was ten years old. Aur yeh baat bahut kum log jaante hai. Maine tennis coaching join kiya tha, aur uss waqt tennis coaching mein bahut bada group tha. 40-50 bachche the. Wahaan pe ek ladki thi, jisko dekh ke main ekdum dang reh gaya. Pehli dafa jab maine usko dekha toh it was pehla nasha.”
“I just fell head over heels in love with her. I was totally besotted with her. Din raat main usi ke baare mein sochta rehta tha. Woh jo line hai, ‘uddta hi phiroon inn hawaon mein kahin’… Main uddta hi rehta tha uss waqt. meri himmat kabhi nahi hui, ki main usko bolun. Main bohot chhota tha, dus saal ka. Woh bhi usi umar ki thi, 10-11 saal ki. Bohot khoobsurat thi,” Aamir said.
If there is one good thing that came out of it, it was that Aamir’s tennis skills greatly improved. “Iss chakkar mein mera tennis bahut improve ho gaya, kyunki main bahut practice karta tha. Pehle aata tha, last jaata tha. Main usko impress bhi karna chahta tha. Lekin woh 1-1.5 saal ke baad uski family sheher chhod ke chali gayi. So it was unrequited love,” he said.
Aamir also added that the first few times he fell in love, it was always unrequited. “Main kabhi lucky nahi tha love mein. Ab hoon, lekin uss waqt nahi tha. I always have a special emotion in my heart for lovers who fall in love but don’t get the love that they want,” the actor said.
