Saif Ali Khan and Tabu starrer has got a new release date. The film that was initially supposed to release on 29 November has been pushed forward and will now release on 7 February next year.
The film also marks the debut of veteran actor Kabir Bedi’s granddaughter and actress Pooja Bedi’s daughter Alaia F.
Revealing the reason of the delay, a source suggests that the director needs to shoot a promotional song for the film with Saif that also requires him to don a particular look. But Saif has a packed schedule therefore the release of the film has been pushed to next year.
Film trade analyst and critic Taran Adarsh shared the news on his verified Twitter handle and wrote, “New release date… #JawaaniJaaneman will now release on 7 Feb 2020 [#ValentineDay]… Stars Saif Ali Khan, Alaia F and Tabu… Directed by Nitin Kakkar.”

Tabu and Saif Ali Khan will be working together after more than two decades. The two had earlier acted in films like Hum Saath Saath Hain and Biwi No. 1.
Talking about working with Saif Tabu had said, “This is a different film and it’s amazing to work with Saif after so many years. We did Biwi No. 1, but we did not have any scenes together. Saif has a great sense of humour and I was looking forward to doing this kind of film with him.”
During an interview with Mid-Day Saif said, “Tabu is a brilliant actor. This part is funny on paper, and I’m pleased that she has agreed to play it as now it will be hysterical.”
Jawaani Jaaneman is a coming-of-age story of a father and his daughter. In the movie, Saif Ali Khan will be seen playing the role of Alaia’s 40 years old father. Tabu will also be seen playing a pivotal character in the film.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar and distributed by Zee Studios, the film is produced by Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment in association with Saif’s Black Knight Films and Jay Shewakramani’s Northern Lights Films.
The film is expected to release on 7 February 2020.
