Luka Chuppi, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon had a good opening at the box office as it earned ₹8 crores. Reportedly. the movie has done very well in its first weekend as it collected approx ₹30 crores net. The film observed a growth of 30% in its domestic collections. But it is hard to tell the trend how well can the film hold after Monday.
Trade analyst and film critic, Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter to reveal the latest collection of the film and he wrote, “#LukaChuppi emerges a winner… Shows superb growth on Day 2 and 3… Biz doubles at many screens on Day 3… Has ₹30 cr+ weekend… Will remain strong today due to partial holiday [#Mahashivratri]… Fri 8.01 cr, Sat 10.08 cr, Sun 14.04 cr. Total: ₹32.13 cr. India biz.”

The film explores a journey of a supposed to be arranged marriage, turned to a live-in relationship and then to a love marriage. Kartik and Kriti who met each other through their respective families to arrange marriage, decide to give live-in a shot in order to check their compatibility. The story takes a twist when their family find out and decide to live in with them, unknown to the fact that they are not married.
