During an interaction with IANS, actress Kiara Advani says nepotism exists everywhere, but that doesn’t close the doors for outsiders in Bollywood.

She added, “Be it any industry, it’s not going to be easy. Nepotism exists everywhere. In any field, it is easier to get something through connections. But I feel there are so many actors who have made it on their own. Priyanka Chopra, for that matter. She has gone and achieved what no filmy kid has done. So I think everybody’s journey is their own. Your first film becomes easy when you’re a star kid but otherwise your success is completely dependent on the audience acceptance of you.”

When asked about partiality, Kiara agreed and said that she too feels so but a lot of people have risen above that and a lot of people who are not star kids have managed to make a mark too. The actress made her debut in 2014 with Akshay Kumar’s production Fugly and was last seen on screen in “Machine” directed by Abbas Mustan.

Talking about Bollywood’s Khiladi, she mentioned, “Akshay sir is very punctual. He is somebody who respects time and he is very professional. His professionalism is something that has stayed with me. He always told me to be hardworking, punctual and never give anybody a reason to be upset with you. That’s the kind of person I am as well. I am very punctual and at times I am ready even before my heroes.”
