Kunal Kemmu is adding to the list of the actors who will be making their digital debut soon. The actor will be seen in a web series of crime thriller genre titled ‘Abhay’ which will be premiered on ZEE5. The series is expected to go on floors soon.
The series, shot in the bylanes of Lucknow, uses inverted detective setup of storytelling. A source close to the development informed that Kunal will be seen playing an investigation officer in the web series and will don a never-seen-before avatar for it. However, Kunal hasn’t commented on it yet.
Earlier, Kemmu was roped in on the Star Plus show ‘Kanpur Wale Khuranas’ for the role of Sunil Grover’s brother-in-law. He was expected to make his television debut with the show. Even the first teaser of the show featured him, cracking jokes about marriages with his Jija (Grover). But he had to walk out of it, as the dates with the outdoor schedule of Karan Johar’s upcoming film Kalank.

The actor made his debut as a child actor in the Doordarshan’s TV series ‘Gul Gulshan Gulfaam’. He went on to star as a child artist in movies including ‘Raja Hindustani’, ‘Zakhm’, ‘Bhai’, ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’, and ‘Dushman’, starting with ‘Sir’ in 1993.
He bagged his first role as a male lead in Mohit Suri‘s ‘Kalyug’ released in 2005. He was later starred in several Hindi movies, including ‘Dhol’, ‘Golmaal 3’ and ‘Bhaag Johnny’. He was last seen in 2017 released ‘Golmaal Again’ along with Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Parineeti Chopra, Tabu, Johnny Lever, Prakash Raj, and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
