Actress Manisha Koirala has been very active on social media platforms where she keeps her fans posted with her pictures.

She recently shared some of her pictures on her Instagram profile, from the Jaipur Literature film festival where she talked about her book ‘Healed’.

Manisha was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012 and went to the United States to undergo treatment for it and became cancer free.

Her experience battling with cancer made her write a book about it titled ‘Healed: How Cancer Gave Life.’

On the acting front, Manisha was last seen in the political action film ‘Prassthanam’ directed by Deva Katta and co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Ali Fazal. It opened to mixed reviews and failed to create an impact at the box-office.

She will be next seen in the musical romantic film ’99 Songs’, which is co-written and produced by A.R. Rahman.

Born in Nepal, Manisha is the grand daughter of Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala, who was the 22nd Prime Minister of Nepal.

Manisha had started her Bollywood career in 1991 with Subhash Ghai’s ‘Saudagar’ and later acted in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s ‘1942: A Love Story’.

She later appeared in Mani Ratnam’s bilingual romantic drama ‘Bombay’, for which she won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress and Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Tamil).

Manisha has given several critically acclaimed performances in films like ‘Khamoshi: The Musical’, ‘Dil Se…’, ‘Lajja’, ‘Company’ and ‘Calcutta Mail.’
