Directed by David Fincher, “Mank” is an upcoming drama film based on a script written by his father Jack Fincher.

The film was to start filming after the completion of the movie Game, but due to the unfortunate death of Jack Fincher, the project led to a delay. They started filming the movie in 2019 and finished in early 2020.

The plot of the film revolves around Herman Jacob Mankiewicz (an American screenwriter) as he starts writing his screenplay for the movie “Citizen Kane (1941)” and the clashes that he has with Orson Welles (the greatest filmmaker of all times) during the production and the release of the film.

This film marks a return of the Film Maker David Fincher after his feature film release Gone Girl.

The director spent his interim working on many Netflix projects, which include the Mindhunter, Love Death + Robots, also the House of Cards.

Gary Oldman is playing Herman Jacob Mankiewicz, while Tom Burke will be playing the role of Orson Welles.

The supporting cast includes Lilly Collins as Rita Alexander, Amanda Seyfried as Marion Davies, Charles Dance as William Randolph Hearst. Sean Chaffin and Eric Roth will be producing the film.

The movie will stream on Netflix on December 4, 2020, before the release of the film in limited theatres on November 13, 2020.
