A. R Rahman says that as an artist, human beings are the ones which insipres them the most.

Indian Composer A.R. Rahman says that an artist is always inspired by the human beings and whatever they go through in their life. Recently Rahman recorded a 19-minute music piece titled ‘The Flying Lotus’, which is based on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and on his move which he has taken to demonstrate high-value currency note.

When asked the A.R. Rahman that whether the artist should react to the reacting issues which are happening around them or they should stay away from it? On this A.R. Rahman says that being an artist it is really insensitive to say that you are immune to everything and as far as he is concern he just doesn’t see everything. He can be in the separate universe but he says that what really inspires as an artist are the human beings. Moreover, he says that people like them and to reflect that it is very inevitable.

Rahman says that one can not just ignore anything, but if everyone reflects that there is only chaos and in that way, the artist should have their own zone. However, it is always challenging. He feels that even in the past there are some painters, composers, and artists and they have always taken up something which is raw and made it more beautiful and that is very humble to attempt in ‘The Flying Lotus’.

The main idea behind the piece was to bring out a musical expression which is inspired by the extraordinary praises and the inconvenience that is usually followed by the demonetization which has taken place last year.
