Indian film director Raja Krishna Menon says that he is keen to work along with the actor Ranbir Kapoor but he has not signed him or anyone for his upcoming thriller drama movie. He says that he finds an actor Ranbir Kapoor to be a very interesting actor.
However, there are a lot of rumors that going in the Bollywood town that he has approached Ranbir for his upcoming movie. When asked this from the director Raja Krishna Menon that does he has approached the actor Ranbir? On this, he says that he has not signed Ranbir Kapoor and neither he has met him. The two were supposed to meet over a coffee and he thinks that Ranbir is a wonderful actor. But unfortunately, that plan did not happen because both of them got busy with their work and he says that the rest is speculation.
When asked the director that does he is considering Ranbir for the script? Raja Krishan Menon said that so far he has not considered anyone till now. He has just completed his writing a few days back. However, he says that it is a fact that he would love to work along with the actor Ranbir because he finds him as a very interesting actor. But to collaborate both should be having a right script for that.
Recently his movie ‘Chef’ got released which was an Indian remake of the American movie. His movie got a positive review however it did not the best at the box office. He says that it is very interesting to see how your movie is doing well on the digital platform now. He feels that as a filmmaker he has failed to target their potential audience. The story of the movie was completely different it was based on the journey and on a relationship between father and his son. He is still glad for all the appreciation he got for his movie ‘Chef’.
Earlier, Raja had made the movie ‘Airlift’, which was based on the real-life incident of evacuations of Indians from Kuwait. He feels that working on the movies which are based on the real-life incident has more responsibility. On the other hand, fictional movies have created challenges as they come from the imagination and they do not exist in the reality.
About his upcoming movie, Raja says that he himself is very confused by the genre these days. But, he says that his upcoming movie is a fictional story and the movie will be having an element of drama and thriller both. So calling his upcoming movie a thriller drama would not be wrong.
