The Indian actor Rajkummar Rao says that Amitabh Bachchan is his biggest inspiration. Rajkummar established her career with his 2010 movie title “Love Sex Aur Dhokha”. He got his first breakout role in 2013 drama movie titled “Kai Po Che”, for which he got nominated for the Best Supporting Actor. At the same year, he awarded with the Filmfare and the National Film Award for Best Actor and Critics Best Actor for his role in the biographical drama movie Shahid. In 2014, he played the romantic comedy role in the movie ‘Queen’, which was written and directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Anurag Kashyap. The film stars Kangana Ranaut in the lead role and Lisa Haydon and Rajkummar Rao played the supporting roles. The film tells us the story of the girl Rani, which is an under confident Punjabi girl from New Delhi.
Recently, in an interview, Rajkummar Rao says that Amitabh Bachchan is his biggest inspiration. On Monday, legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan hailed the performance in the film “Bareilly ki Barfi”, which features actors Rajkumar, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Kriti Sanon.
After watching the movie, Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “Saw ‘Bareilly ki Barfi’ last night… a delightful film and such competent and excellent performances!.”
Replying his tweet Rajkummar thanked the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan for appreciating the movie and he tweeted saying that, “You are my biggest inspiration”.
The movie “Bareilly Ki Barfi” was a romantic comedy film, which was directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari. The movie features Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles.
On the work front, Rajkummar Rao will be soon be seen in Ekta Kapoor’s new web series titled “Bose: Dead/Alive”, in which Rajkummar Rao will be playing a titular role and the series will be based on the subject of the legendary freedom fighter Subash Chandra Bose. About her upcoming web series, Ekta said, “Thank God I got a chance to tell such stories. You wouldn’t believe the number of stories we have and wanted to tell, but due to lack of short format on television, we couldn’t. Digital space has given me, as a creative person, the second lease of life. I am eternally grateful to be able to tell these stories.”
The web series titled “Bose: Dead/ Alive” has been directed by Pulkit and the series features Rajkummar Rao and actress Patralekhaa, who will be seen playing the role of an elitist Bengali woman. The series will air on ALT Balaji.
