Raza Murad : ‘Padmavati’ highlights honour, bravery of Rajput clan!

Bollywood actor Raza Murad says that the upcoming Indian Period drama movie ‘Padmavati‘ highlights honor and the bravery of Rajput clan. Raza is playing the formidable old monarch Sultan Jalaluddin Khilji in the movie. He says that in the movie Rani Padmini has been shown as a very graceful lady and the movie ‘Padmavati’ will honor the prestige and the bravery of the Rajput clan.

On Saturday, Legendary actor Raza Murad says that there is only one thing in cinematic liberty, which every filmmaker avails. Moreover, he says the earlier director Sanjay Leela Bhansali made ‘Bajirao Mastani’, which has a dance of two mistresses Mastani and Kashi Bai and at that time nobody raised an issue.

He says that he is also a part of the movie, but he has not seen the movie yet. But he is very much sure that the movie will show Rani Padmini as a very graceful lady. He feels that the way the makers of the movie have described the honor, prestige, and bravery of Rajputs and he does not think that anyone else would have done this in any of the movies.
He even said that the song ‘Ghoomar’ that the song is a folk dancer where the Rani Padmini is singing with her friends and if there is something which is objectionable then the Central Board of Film Certification will take care of it.  The movie is facing the protest from the various communal groups which also includes Shree Rajput Karni Sena, for allegedly tampering with historical facts.
There are Karmi Sena which has demolished the sets of the movie in Jaipur and they have also threatened the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, last month has been again warned that he will face the consequences if the movie distorted historical facts.
The movie ‘Padmavati‘ which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and jointly produced by Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The movie features Deepika Padukone in the title role as Rani Padmini, alongside Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Jim Sarbh and Aditi Rao Hydari
