Salman Khan books Eid for his upcoming movie titled 'bharat'

The Bhaijaan of Bollywood is currently busy with the shooting of a periodic-drama, ‘Bharat‘ starring opposite Katrina Kaif. But Salman Khan is all set to bring you another cop-drama, where he will play a hardened detective in the remake of South Korean hit film ‘Veteran’. The film will be produced under Atul Agnihotri‘s banner Reel Life Productions who had acquired the rights from the Korean production, CJ Entertainment.

The Korean film, ‘Veteran’ was the fourth highest grossing film in South Korean cinema history. The film is about a tough detective against a young arrogant millionaire, who reportedly uses his money and power to escape being served to justice. ‘Veteran’ was directed by Ryoo Seung-wan and Hwang Jung-min was roped in to play the cop, and Yoo Ah-in to star as Playboy. The film was released in 2015 and had earned $93.8 million which marked the film amongst the highest grosser of all time.

This isn’t the first time that Salman is inspired by a Korean film, His upcoming film, ‘Bharat’ is inspired by Korean film ‘Ode To My Father’, which starred Hwang Jun-Min. ‘Bharat’ is helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar and the movie also stars TabuKatrina KaifSunil Grover, Jackie ShroffSonali KulkarniDisha Patani and Nora Fatehi.
