‘Seventh’ is India’s first shortest format film with a duration of 53 minutes and has received an Inspiring Film of the year at Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival 2019. Sam (Shauzab) Khan was the special guest of the award ceremony held recently in Mumbai.

The film is produced under Sam Khan‘s banner, Mother’s Eye Production Ptd Ltd. ‘Seventh’ is written and directed by Sam Khan. The film is cinematographed by Adikesh Bhargava and music is given by Manoj Negi and is edited by Ajay Verma. The film has been completely shot in Mumbai and will release on a digital platform after the monsoon.

Seventh is based on the story of a Sufi and a cockroach. Where on a gloomy night, Sufi comes to his building and got stuck in the lift with a cockroach. The film shows how a passionate person survives despite of the circumstances. The communication between a human and a cockroach is the center of the story which is creatively represented by the director of the film. The movie shows how a cockroach doesn’t die after several attempts to kill it, in the same way, if the human wants to survive, he will find a way for it.

When Sam was quizzed on the award, he excitedly replied, “it’s a huge pleasurable and proud moment for us as our work for Seventh has been recognized and felicitated with such a prestigious award. Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival, only the name is enough to know that we are contributing to the industry.”
