According to film trade analyst and critic Komal Nahta, actor Shah Rukh Khan is all set to star in a film directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. widely known as Raj & DK. The duo received wide acclaim for their last directorial web series The Family Man on Amazon Prime Video. Nahta also said on his official YouTube channel that the story, cast, and title of the film has been finalized and the film is likely to go on the floors in early 2020. The film is even expected to release in 2020 itself or 2021.
It was previously reported that three films had caught the attention of Khan and he was interested in doing all of them. Those three films are – South Indian director Atlee’s next film, Rajkumar Hirani’s next directorial and Ali Abbas Zafar’s next action saga. The question arises which film will be Khan’s next film. According to Nahta, the first release of Khan in 2020 or 2021 will be Raj & DK’s directorial venture.
There has been a lot of curiosity around the next film of Khan as he did not sign any new movie after his last film Zero came out in December last year. Despite being an Anand L Rai’s directorial and having a novelty factor of Khan playing a dwarf man, Zero tanked at the box office. While Raj & DK are known for their quirky style of film making and unique sense of humour as seen in Shor In The City, Go Goa Gone, it remains to be seen what freshness the director duo create with Shah Rukh Khan.
