Story : The movie revolves around a couple, Mudit Sharma (Ayushmann) and Sughanda (Bhumi). They fall in love with each other and eventually, plan of getting married. Review: Shubh Mangal Saavdhan can be considered as a sincere effort to show a social taboo in form of a romantic comedy. To deal with the ‘problem’, there was some element needed, which could outclass the issue and the chemistry between the lead pair has done justice with the same. Ayushmann and Bhumi have played their character so well that at no point, it seems like they are doing just the second movie together.

Along with a spectacular performance by the lead pair, the supporting actors have played their characters really well. The dialogues seem to stand out at points. Seema Pahwa and Brijendra Kala deserve special mentions for being too much in too less of the screen time they have got.

However, towards the end, the movie gets out of the line with unconvincing turning points and cameos. At times, it seems like that the director could not keep up to the plot that is built in the first half and to a lot of people, the end gets disappointing. In the end, it leaves a few unanswered questions. However, overall, the comedy timing and the performance of the characters make it worth a watch.
