Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba collects ₹2.25 crore net on its third Tuesday which took its collection to ₹229 crore net plus. The third-week figure till date is ₹17.50 crore net and the film is looking at a ₹21 crore net plus in the third week.
The Mumbai circuit has crossed ₹80 crore net and stands at ₹84 crore net. It looks like it will be the sixth or seventh highest grossing film in Mumbai circuit. but the story is not the same in UP/Delhi where it will be outside the top 10. If the film is to reach ₹50 crore net, it will have to show a growth of 50% in the fourth week.
Simmba is the 10th highest net grosser of all time. The collection of Simmba till date is as follows: The film crossed ₹50 crores mark, in three days, ₹100 crores mark in just five days, ₹150 crores mark in seven days, ₹170 crores mark in 10 days and ₹ 200 crores mark in just 12 days. However, it took six days to cross the ₹225 crores mark, as the business slowed down after running breathlessly for two whole weeks.
Even after two big contenders, viz, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ and ‘ The Accidental Prime Minister’, ‘Simmba’ stayed strong on its third Tuesday and earned ₹2.25 crores.
The Rohit Shetty‘s directorial has made it to the list of all Time Domestic Top Box Office Collection in just 17 days. The film stands proudly at number 10, in the list. ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ (Hindi) is on the top of the list.
