Sonali Bendre has finally returned home after 4 long months. She was in New York since July for her treatment for cancer. Sonali with her husband Goldie Behl landed in Mumbai on monday morning.
Talking to the press Goldie said, “Sonali is doing good. She is back for good. She is recovering very well. For now, treatment has ended. But the disease can come back so regular check-ups will be done.”
Before coming back home, Sonali wrote a very emotional post on her social media, “I’m on my way back to where my heart is. It’s a feeling I can’t describe in words but I’m going to try,”
Sonali posted a photo of her on Instagram and wrote, “They say Distance makes the heart grow fonder. It sure does. But let’s never underestimate what distance teaches you. Being away from home in the city of New York, I realized I was walking amongst so many stories. Each trying to write their own chapter in different ways. Each struggling to do it but never giving up. Each taking it #OneDayAtATime.”

Behl family received the bad news of Sonali suffering from “high grade” cancer, in July. She went to New York for her treatment. She posted a lot of photos of her fight with cancer. She even went to Priyanka Chopra’s bachelorette party in New York. She is home just for a break.
