Worldwide business of the first blockbuster of 2019 ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike‘ is great as the film is inching closer to the 300 crore mark. The film is creating history by going this far despite being a small-medium budget flick.

In India alone, the movie is only about ₹5 crore away from reaching 200 crore mark. The film’s total business has reached to ₹195.49 crores at the Indian Box Office and ₹273 crores worldwide.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the film’s Indian business on his twitter account and last week’s day to day collection.

The film has surpassed the collection of last year high earners ‘Badhaai Ho’ which earned ₹215 crore, ‘Raazi’s earning ₹192 crore, ‘Stree’ with ₹173 crores and ₹149 crores of ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’.

According to the Box Office India, the film’s 26-day business is better than some of the last year’s big films like ‘2.0’ (Hindi), ‘Baaghi 2’ and ‘Thugs of Hindostan’.

As per Box Office India reports, “The film could go and do as much as ‘Race 3’ did worldwide last year. The film has done huge business overseas and although the $5.5 million till date might not look a big number, in reality, it is, as it’s a patriotic film and these types of films based around Pakistan/Kashmir tend to be a no-no for the huge Muslim audience overseas.”
