Work is important in life. Without it, one starts feeling stagnant and bored. Actor, Vidya Balan might have felt that too whilst under lockdown for more than 4 months. As the film industry starts work again, the actor is also set to start shooting for her next film Sherni soon. She’ll resume the film’s shoot from October.

While she is ready to start shooting for the film, the COVID-19 pandemic will definitely pose a challenge. Vidya is however up for the challenge.

Vidya plays the role of a forest officer in the film. Talking about the film she told that the ideal month to start the shoot is post-monsoon, with the team of hoping to start shooting in October. The film will be shot in the jungles of Madhya Pradesh.

Talking to PTI, Vidya said :

“The situation is such that we will have to take one day at a time. Shooting generally will require you to be that much more cautious now. The good thing is we will be shooting in the jungle. We are not in an enclosed place and that I think is a good thing. Hopefully, we will be safer. Fingers crossed.”

Further, the actress talked about the need for taking precautions whilst shooting, saying :

“We can only take precautions and hope everything turns out fine and everyone is safe. I don’t know what it will be shooting outside the city,” she said, adding that two-thirds of the shoot is yet to be finished.”

In Mid-March when COVID-19 started spreading, a nationwide lockdown was imposed which halted the film’s production.

Sherni is a film dealing with the man-wildlife conflict. Amit Masurkar of Newton fame is directing the film, while Vikram Malhotra (Abundantia Entertainment) produces it.

Vidya’s last film Shakuntala Devi premiered on Amazon Prime on July 31. The film received good reviews. Apart from it, her short film Nathkat also came out this year.
