Thala Ajith’s ‘Viswasam’ which was a gift to his fans on Pongal had a really long run at the Box Office since its release on January 10. The film remained consistent even after new releases and tough competition.
The film has crossed the Rs 180 mark worldwide. This film is the fourth hit film of the Ajith-Siva duo after Veeram, Vedalam, and Vivegam. It had to compete with Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Petta’ which was already ahead of it in the international market. But in the home state ‘Viswasam’ was way ahead than ‘Petta’.
Film trade analyst Ramesh Bala shared the latest box office numbers of Ajith’s ‘Viswasam’ on Twitter. He wrote, “At the end of 3rd weekend, #Thala #Ajith ‘s #Viswasam has grossed ₹ 180+ Crs at the WW Box Office.. This is huge, considering the clash and a single lang version release…”

The film opened up to mixed reviews from the audience and critics.
‘Viswasam’ in a nutshell, “It is a story of a man who was dumped by his wife and banned from meeting his daughter. He feels guilty for not being there for her daughter during her growing years. And one should not mess with an angry head like him.”
It is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, and it also stars Nayanthara, Thambi Ramaiah, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, and Vivek.
