Jaipur Startups Meetup Episode 4

Jaipur Startups, the community which started with a Facebook group, has been fairly successful in getting the initial traction built. On Sunday, November 13th, Jaipur Startups organized its 4th meetup to continue its mission of bringing the experienced and wannabe entrepreneurs together on a platform to share experience and resources.

The entrepreneur to grace the occasion and talk about his experience was one of the most prolific figures from Rajasthan, Dr Ajay Data, founder Data Infosys.

As the format, the event went on pretty well with the flow, which first saw Dr. Data sharing his journey of coming to Jaipur from a small place called Khairthal in Alwar to study and then finally taking over a business where he went for his MBA project. He further spoke about his love with computers and how he went on to set up his own ISP a few years later.

Dr. Ajay Data has seen some ups and downs in life and that has led to his great success. Data Infosys and other companies founded by Dr. Data have a total of over 1100 employees and the company is headquartered in Jaipur with offices in few other Indian cities.

Along with sharing his experience, Dr. Data spoke to the entrepreneurs and enthusiasts from Jaipur to guide them about stuffs related to challenges in startups, recruitment, mindset problem etc. The session went on to become a good takeaway for a lot of the attendees as Dr Data engaged pretty well with the crowd and showed his humble side by talking on stuffs like spirituality, personal inspiration etc. He even guided the people there to focus more on self building by various forms of meditation to discover themselves.

At the end, while talking about the need of such community in a city like Jaipur, he stated that tier II cities like Jaipur surely lack a bit of energy, however, with time, the city is set to grow and for sure, there are amazing opportunities in front to explore for startups and such communities. He applauded the efforts of the Jaipur Startups team to undertake such initiatives and extended his support in building Jaipur as the next startup hub.
