India is the land of spices and in order to discuss various strategies on effective farming techniques and sustainability in the spices sector, the third edition of the International spice conference will be held in Jaipur from 4-7th Feb 2018.

The conference will see the participation of over 750 delegates from across the world with various stakeholders such as farmers, merchants, spice associations etc. The conference will address the various challenges and policies in the segment. The central theme of the 2018 conference is going to be ‘Managing Disruptions through Transformation and Collaboration’.

Arancha Gonzalez, Executive Director, International Trade Centre, Geneva, will be inaugurating the conference which will be hosted by the All India Spices Exporters’ Forum and Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry in joint participation. Trilochan Mohapatra, Director General, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, will then preside.

The All India Spices Exporters Forum (AISEF), was established in 1987 and works towards protecting the interests of the spice exporters in the country, creating a sustainable, business-centered surroundings for the spice industry and its stakeholders.

AISEF is managed by an elected Managing Committee. In 25 years of operation, AISEF has developed relationships with all the other major spice associations globally, understanding business needs, market changes and taking the lead in regulatory matters to ensure India is in the forefront of meeting the challenges and creating the right environment for growth in the spice industry.

Multiple sessions and panel discussions will be a part of the four-day conference. These include customer-oriented farming, changing market landscape, meeting the goals of global spice industry, sustainable spice initiative, collaboration among strategic stakeholders, operational stakeholders, crops and markets and open house discussions on different spices.

The venue, Jaipur- Crowne Plaza is very close to the city’s heritage sites – Amer Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal and Jal Mahal. Eminent personalities from the industry have been invited to speak for this occasion.

One more attraction would be the tours given to the delegates in the spice growing areas, a sightseeing tour to Agra and an opportunity to enjoy a Polo match.
