For an Indian designer, to be able to showcase her work on a foreign soil is one of the best feelings and the feeling gets even more awesome when the venue is Eiffel Tower.
Well yes, you got that right, Hyderabad based Designer and former Mrs. India, Shilpa Reddy is all set to showcase her Winter/Autumn collection on the Eiffel Tower on October 31st, 2014. The invitee list includes plenty of high profile people including ambassadors and members of the government, fashion icons, national and international press and a lot more. Mrs. Shilpa Reddy, who has also made it to the Kingfisher Calender is the first Indian to be associated with such event.
She will be showcasing her collection at the renowned J-Autumn Fashion Show by Jessica Minh Anh. The event includes a lot of other national and international designers showcasing their collections. The Shilpa Reddy designs will present clean structure with some awesome finish and premium fabric. The venture of Shilpa Reddy has tied their hands on designing some footwear for the first ever time with Malkha fabric combining age old traditional embroideries.
While asked for a comment over this, an excited Shilpa quoted
I am elated to have earned this opportunity, and can’t deny that am a bit nervous as people will look up to me as a proud Indian and not just designer Shilpa Reddy. It is a huge responsibility that I feel I am shouldering and I am confident, with all the support back home, this will be a prestigious moment for the whole fashion fraternity.
