Touch ID and gesture controls are the key new things that Watch 6 could bring with it.

This is not a confirmed news, but according to PatentlyApple, a patent has been spotted which has new features like gesture controls, more health-related features, and a touch id which could be on the Apple Watch 6.

By gesture control, we meant a voice gesture like ‘raise to wake’ kind of thing. This is currently present in a lot of smartwatches but Apple could bring different types of raises to perform different functions.

The SpO2 monitor has also been spotted on the patent. SpO2 monitors the oxygen level of your blood.

Another cool feature that we can see on Apple Watch 6 is that the watch will detect which limb it is on. It will be able to detect whether you are holding in on your palm or it is around your wrist kind of thing. Some very complex machine learning to execute this feature.

The most important and most demanded feature which Apple users would want is the touch ID. And it has been spotted on the patent so maybe we will finally see a touch ID on the Apple watch.

All this is not concrete news, just some assumptions, and reports which keep on circulating around the market. But it would be great if all these featured make it into the Apple Watch 6.

Other brands have already added the SpO2 thing and other health-related stuff on their smartwatch. Apple must really look to add all the existing ones and some unique features on the Apple Watch 6 if they want to stand out and keep the top spot in the smartwatch market.
