Huawei Nova 4e

Huawei has started teasing its new smartphone, Nova 4e, in China, and the smartphone is confirmed to sport a 32-megapixel selfie sensor. The Nova 4e is expected to be a variation of Nova 4, which was launched last year in December. The Nova 4 features a punch hole selfie camera, nevertheless, the teaser of the Nova 4e suggests that the device will come with a traditional dewdrop notch accommodating the front camera. The Nova 4e is presumably a more watered down version of the Nova 4 and is expected to carry a lower price tag.

Huawei posted a short video on the Chinese social media site Weibo, announcing the arrival of Nova 4e. The video shows the outline of the top portion of the smartphone confirming the position of the selfie camera in the smartphone. Unlike the Nova 4, the video reveals that the selfie camera in the Nova 4e will be at the center top of the device, which will likely be integrated into a water drop notch. The teaser post also reveals that the front-facing camera will be a 32-megapixel sensor.

There are not many details regarding the phone. The Nova 4e is expected to release soon, nevertheless, the exact release date has not been announced. As the name suggests, the Huawei Nova 4e is expected to be a slightly cheaper version of the Nova 4, however, this can only be speculated until the release of the phone.

The Huawei Nova 4 was launched last year in December and features display hole for the large 25-megapixel front camera, apart from a 48-megapixel rear camera with Sony’s new IMX586 sensor that’s part of a triple rear camera setup, as well as its gradient color design. It is powered by Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC.
