After the mighty success of the Jio Phone 1 in India, Reliance Industries will release its successor. The new Jio Phone 2 flash sale begins at 12 P.M, August 16, 2018, on Jio.com. Interestingly, RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani had earlier said the model will become available for grabs on August 15. But it looks like the plans are pushed to a day later. The registration will take place on August 15th and the flash sale will require the user to register it beforehand. There has been a lot of talks around Jiophone 2 sale and seems like RIL has taken an innovative approach to sell their latest phone.

This would be the first online sale for the Jio Phone 2. It is a smart feature phone that offers many more features than a regular feature phone but falls just short from the smartphone mark. The Jio Phone platform will receive YouTube, Google Assistant integration and WhatsApp support. However, the release of WhatsApp for the two handsets has been delayed as well. It runs on a KaiOS and also has a QWERTY keypad. The Jio Phone 2 will come in handy for basic internet usage.

The Jio Phone 2 costs ₹2499. It will go on a flash sale on Jio.com at 12 PM, August 16. However, to purchase you will need to register for the sale on August 15, 2018.

The flash sale is scheduled to take place today at 12PM. The users, who have already registered for the smartphone on jio.com yesterday will be able to participate in the flash sale. Reliance has not announced the number of units that will be on sale today, however, it is expected that the flash sale will not last for long as there are millions of people who have registered for the phone and looking to own it before anyone else does.
