Oppo has launched Oppo A54 5G in the European market. The smartphone joins A series smartphones- Oppo A74 5G and Oppo A94 5G lineup. This is a budget 5G variant of Oppo A54 that was launched in India. The Indian variant was powered by MediaTek Helio P35. The 5G variant is powered by Snapdragon 480 SoC and features a quad-camera setup at the rear.

Oppo A54 5G is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 480 5G SoC, coupled with Adreno 619 GPU. The processor is backed by 4GB of LPDDR4x and 64GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. The storage on the device can be expanded via a microSD card up to 1TB. The smartphone runs on Android 11 out-of-the-box with Oppo’s custom ColorOS 11.1 on top.
Coming to the display, the device sports a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display has a 180Hz touch sampling rate, a 90.5-percent screen-to-body ratio, and a 405ppi pixel density. It has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and is protected by Panda Glass MN228 layer. The phone has slim bezels on the edges and a slightly thicker on the chin. A punch-hole is offered at the top left corner of the display for the front camera.
As for the cameras, the phone sports a quad-camera setup at the rear with a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture, an 8MP sensor for ultra-wide-angle shots with an f/2.2 lens, and two 2MP sensors with an f/2.4 lens for macro shots and a monochrome sensor. Upfront, a 16MP sensor is placed under the notch for selfies and video calls.
The mobile phone carries a 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging support. It ships with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Connectivity options like 5G, 45 LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The device weighs 190 grams.

Oppo A54 5G will be offered in two color options- Fantastic Purple and Fluid Black. The pricing and availability details of the smartphone are yet to be revealed by the company.
The 4G variant of Oppo A54 starts from Rs. 13,490 in India.

Considering the budget nature of the smartphone, it will rival Realme 8 5G, which is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC and features a 90Hz IPS LCD panel, a 48MP triple-camera setup, and a 5,000mAh battery with fast charging, starting from Rs. 16,999 for the 8GB RAM variant.
